MOVEMENT STUDY WORKSHOP, PART 1
Last April, we hosted a floral design workshop centered around the idea of movement- how it relates to floral design, and how to create natural, unexpected, and fluid movement that draws the eye through a design. The first part of the day was spent in the Botanique studio, creating vased arrangements and learning techniques and mechanics to get those stems going in whatever direction you want! The second half of the day was optional, as we moved into a photography studio setting to play around with ideas of movement with a model and photographer Anna Peters.
Anna was also there during the earlier portion of the day, and she captured all of these incredible images. I hope they transport you into the magic that was happening in the studio that day... every single piece was incredibly beautiful.
I'll be putting up another post soon with images from the photography studio shoot with these pieces and more.
For those of you wondering about upcoming workshops... I'm getting very close to finalizing the details of our next one! I don't want to spill the beans yet... but it will involve foraging, gorgeous bridal bouquets, ranunculus and poppies, blooming branches... the date is set for May 20th, 2018, so mark your calendar and stay tuned for more details!
